Screen Printing on to Paper
Embrace the medium of Screen printing to create your own fine art images. On this course, you will learn to make and use paper stencils, hand drawn marks and photo exposed images to create layered and dynamic prints. The tutor will guide you to use a variety of techniques from using a hands on approach to mark making using various drawing mediums and paper stencils through to the process of exposing a drawn or photographic positive on to a screen. Each participant will have their own screen and screen bed to work on to allow total freedom to explore the medium at a personal pace. You will come away with information on inks, paper and screens and a good knowledge of how our studio works, in addition to a number of different and exciting screen prints. Ideal for beginners and for those who want a refresher.
Once you are confident to work on your own, you will be able to join screen-Art as a Member and print independently during Open Access sessions. Please anticipate taking more than one class before joining as a Member, especially, if you are new to Screen printing.
